Heng Wu, from Changzhi, Shanxi Province, is an undergraduate student majoring in Astrobiology in the School of Earth and Space Sciences at Peking University, Class of 2023. He joined Professor Mingsong Li’s research group in his sophomore year. His research focuses on carbon and oxygen isotope data assimilation related to the Late Permian mass extinction. Under Professor Li’s guidance, he participated in the main competition of the 2025-2026 Challenge Cup with a project titled “Orbital Resonance Transition Events in the Early Cenozoic Solar System as Recorded by the CENOGRID Isotope Sequence.”
