I am a PhD student at the School of Earth and Space Sciences, Peking University. My research focuses on Mars cyclostratigraphy, early Martian climate evolution, and deep-time Solar System evolution. Specifically, I apply well-established cyclostratigraphic approaches and systematic recurrence quantification analyses from Earth sciences to Martian sedimentary records, with the aim of exploring the formation mechanisms of periodic layered deposits and the climatic dynamical characteristics they reflect. I also adopt a comparative planetology perspective to investigate similarities and differences between Mars and the early Earth in sedimentary responses and climate evolution under orbital forcing.

Research Keywords

Mars; cyclostratigraphy; early Martian climate; deep-time Solar System evolution; comparative planetology.
